Rudy Giuliani says: Hey guys, I’m a Fascist pig!

Mr. Giuliani, “hero of 9/11″, has decided he would tell us his plan to turn America into a complete fascist state. His Hitler-plan was published on National Review earlier. I’ve decided to take his main points here and show why he is just talking up fascism in “good American speak”. Now, Mr. Giuliani is not speaking old fashioned Republican points and paleo conservatism, but a very much Nazi position (Nazi being National Socialist; for any misunderstanding on Stalin and Hitler’s minor differences see here)

On to the points:

1) I will keep America on offense in the Terrorists’ War on Us.

Let’s see, who benefits most from war? The government. Who were the biggest warmongers? The people who craved power in big government states. The Soviet Union. Nazi Germany. Communist China. I think this needs no further explanation. To warmonger is to want to increase the power of the state, a favorite of fascists and communists everywhere.

2) I will end illegal immigration, secure our borders and identify every non-citizen in our nation.

Rudy forgets the most important part here: By solving illegal immigration, he has also found a way to completely rid us of our freedom to travel! Now when we cross major roads and go across state lines, there will be officers asking for our National I.D. card. Remember Nazi Germany in the movies? “Papers, please?” Rudy can’t wait to reenact those scenes.

3) I will restore fiscal discipline and cut wasteful Washington spending.

Yeah, that’s a good one. While that may not be a Nazi talking point, it sure is chock full of lies. Let’s see, we’re only on point three, you’ve already decided you want to break the rules in the Constitution and prohibit freedom, so why do you even talk the talk of fiscal conservatism? The only way to do that is to follow the Constitution, which you refuse to do, Rudy.

4) I will cut taxes and reform the tax code.

The lie is that George Bush did the same thing by actually raising taxes. Reforming possibly means new taxes, a favorite of fascists everywhere to pay for wars.

5) I will impose accountability on Washington.

If the premise follows that Giuliani is a Nazi, this would mean he will have accountability: At the point of a gun.

6) I will lead America towards energy independence.

Conservation, energy portfolios, what? His description of this in the article sounds like a Nazi plan to prepare for war. Trade is always beneficial. If we weren’t caught up in supporting terrorist nations maybe we wouldn’t be having our “energy” problem. Free markets solve everything, Rudy, except imperialism (which almost requires complete self-dependence in the long run).

7) I will give Americans more control over their health care with affordable and portable free-market solutions.

Were you really a free market proponent, you wouldn’t be giving us solutions: the free market holds that the government can’t give us solutions. What you really want is the Nazi Germany health care system, which while labeled as free market, was not at all.

8) I will increase adoptions, decrease abortions, and protect the quality of life for our children.

Easy. Ease up government restrictions on everything, get Congress to take abortion out of the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court so that it returns to the states, and then the federal government is smaller. I somehow doubt this is what Giuliani wants, though, as he said he is fine with Roe v. Wade (despite its unconstitutionality). I know some people reading this will object to that, but hey, if you like abortion get it legalized in your state or move to another one.

9) I will reform the legal system and appoint strict constructionist judges.

Actual strict constructionist judges? Wow, Rudy, I guess when you are lying again, because if you’re so against the Constitution and freedom then I guess you mean constructionist to Mein Kampf.

10) I will ensure that every community in America is prepared for terrorist attacks and natural disasters.

We as a country survived for over 200 years without being “prepared for terrorist attacks and natural disasters”. I think you mean “prepare for the implementation of the police state and complete dependence on government if attacked by terrorists or hit by natural disasters”. Of course, if we weren’t giving the terrorists billions of dollars a year, it wouldn’t be quite so easy to get hit by them.

11) I will provide access to a quality education to every child in America by giving real school choice to parents.

If Giuliani says “To give free choice to every kid I will eliminate the unconstitutional Department of Education”, I may even forgive him on everything else. State schools are equivalent to Soviet brainwashing centers, plain and simple. Look at our loss of freedom and political ignorance already. What changed in the past 50 years? Federal schools.

…and last but not least:

12) I will expand America’s involvement in the global economy and strengthen our reputation around the world.

I believe this was the exact goal of Adolf Hitler, as well. Enough said.

The biggest warmonger since World War II? The United States.

Every time sanity seems to be winning out, they start wars and demand patriotism. No wonder your country is so fucked up right now.

  3. I think it’s stretching things a little to call it fascism at this point. Not that it couldn’t ever possibly happen in the good ol’ USA…

  4. [...] UPDATE: Not everyone thinks much of his ideas, of course. And they are entitled to their opinions certainly. Indeed, who could possibly hope to argue with a scintillating analysis like this one?: [...]

  5. America has invaded more countries than Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union and Communist China put together. What makes you think that Giuliani would be any worse than the imperialists who have gone before him?
