I’m watching FOX News Sunday with Chris Wallace, right now Mike Huckabee is on and is lying his face off. They played the video where Huckabee talked of raising taxes–requested higher taxes, even. Huckabee is going on and on about his record, half of which is spin he’s throwing.

“If my economic record is so bad, why did we have a billion dollar surplus?”

Maybe because you raised taxes? Economic growth? Higher revenues?  There are plenty of other explanations besides “I was governor and I micromanaged the economy”.  Anyone that takes the claim for economic progress usually isn’t worth the vote you gave them. We have that problem with our horrible governor, and the amazing economy was the only reason he won.

If anyone likes to talk about themselves it seems to be Giuliani and Huckabee, maybe they’re perfect for each other.
