George Bush in 2000 said we shouldn’t tell people in other countries what to do

I’m really surprised no one remembers the Gore/Bush debates. During those debates Bush stressed how the United States shouldn’t be so heavily invested in international policy as well as stating that if he were elected he would bring all the troops stationed overseas back home.
I wonder how that’s working out for him…
Luckily, Ron Paul mentions this in just about every debate. George Bush certainly did run in 2000 on a platform of no nation building and a humble foreign policy.
If you were to bring the above up to Mr Bush, he’d say something along the lines of, “Everything changed on 9/11″ at which point all but the bravest people would shut up and take their medicine.

If you were going to try to radically change the way the United States is run……If you want to do lots of HIGHLY illegal stuff behind close doors…..If you want to break international laws and violate the constitution…..You need a high level fall guy who is not just stupid, but is will also go along with it….and most importantly has the power to give you a pardon…. We certainly know that “everything” has not changed in that last century. We know there are changes. As the saying goes “Life is change, change is life”. As a voting society there is a good chance that no one will get exactly what they believe is the correct solution while many will get some of what they believe is the correct solution. Of those who believe a choice is correct there will be many who disagree.
When we disagree which is easier; to state what specifically we think is not the best about the choice being forwarded followed by a specific better choice or just complain? If your choice is just complain, you have admitted it takes too much effort to criticize the choice so you may need to go after the low hanging grapes, criticize the leader forwarding the idea.
Being a good citizen are these the skills your grandkids need to lead this nation?
