The review of each candidate as well as “McCain’s Overstatement” both bring out some of the big problems with the candidates last night. McCain, in my opinion, really blew it. I think the fact that the neocons showed themselves for who they are marks my disagreement with Jim Geraghty over at the National Review Campaign Spot. To say McCain won and that the debate was horrible really dumbfounds me. I heard Rush Limbaugh saying the debate was silly and absurd as well.
Maybe that’s because this debate couldn’t be avoided, the candidates are calling each other out on their huge problems, and the neocon “shills” are scared that dissatisfaction with the current crop might lead to more votes for marginal candidates (Cough cough Ron Paul)?
