I found a blog by chance today, while searching the long list of reddit items, truly a gem on the internet by all standards. It’s a political blog, 80% of the articles are strictly anti-Ron Paul, and I find it very good for entertainment as I read through some of the BS that is being [...]

Huckabee might have really shot himself in the foot this time. All his dodging of questions, joking about serious issues, and hypocritical stances have all come to a climax with his latest gag. Huckabee had a press conference to state that he was pulling an attack ad against his biggest rival, Mitt Romney. And to [...]

Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter were among the names not invited to a FOX presidential forum in New Hampshire, just two days before the primaries that occur there. After a lot of concern, the NH Republican’s issued a press release regarding this issue, which was a slap in the face to FOX News:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE [...]

The large-scale permanent commitments of American troops to relatively fixed positions outside the continental limits would be costly beyond military returns.

Zogby International now puts Ron in a three way Iowa tie for fourth place with Rudy and Fred, but with McCain only three points ahead and all alone in third place, “margin of error”-wise, it’s a four way tie for third. If Paul is under-polling (New Hampshire Republican chairman, McCain’s campaign chairman, and John [...]

1. John Edwards
2. Barack Obama
3. Hillary Clinton
4. Joe Biden
5. Bill Richardson
6. Dennis Kucinich
7. Chris Dodd
8. Mike Gravel
I’m going for the big upset here, and what a night it would be if Hillary Clinton places 3rd in Iowa. The Democratic caucuses work different than the Republican ones here, [...]

1. Mitt Romney
2. Mike Huckabee
3. Ron Paul
4. Fred Thompson
5. Rudy Giuliani
6. John McCain
7. Duncan Hunter
With unpopular policies for Iowans and a focus on New Hampshire, I don’t see John McCain going very far here, though he will obviously do better in New Hampshire. Rudy Giuliani’s strategy was [...]

It’s the last day of the year and given that Iowa’s caucus is on Thursday, January 3rd, today seems a good time for the Political Inquirer staff to make it’s predictions on Iowa. Mike already made his predictions here, others will probably come after me so I’ll compile them all at the end of the [...]

I’ll make it simple:
GOP, Order of finish
Romney
Huckabee
Thompson (close third)
McCain
Paul (close fifth)
Democrats
Clinton (the machinery comes through)
Obama (very close second)
Edwards
Others don’t matter; too few votes
AFTER
GOP
Duncan Hunter drops out, backs Thompson.
Romney wins New Hampshire; McCain a close second.
McCain fades, gets little from Feb. primaries; out after 1st week in March
Huckabee continues to fade, finishing no better than 2nd [...]

Wasn’t the purpose of being in Iraq to
Find weapons of mass destruction
Regime change
Liberate the Iraqi people from Saddam’s oppression
When did “Taking the Fight to the Terrorists” become our main reason for being over there? Did it become that, or what?
We are weaker here at home because of our invasion in Iraq. The Democrats sometimes play [...]

The third country in the old axis of evil has said openly that its first atomic power plant should be completed by the summer of 2008.
Will the United States government let this go on? Listening to Rush Limbaugh not too long ago I heard him say that he is convinced Bush will not go out [...]

An objection made yesterday to why I cannot support the Iraq war is that abandoning the Iraqis to the perils that follow after an immediate withdrawal is cruel and inhumane. To that I have to ask, “So what”?
The Iraqi people have to take care of themselves. If we stay, there is going to be continual [...]

Yesterday I made an entire post that had no substance to it of my own. It was merely a quote that I found to be so powerful that I later decided to write a full article about it. If you didn’t see it before, here is the quote that I put up:
Our government has kept [...]

In 2003 I was wholeheartedly for the war in Iraq. I have grown up in a Republican home with conservative values. George Bush stood strong against the terrorists and made sure that we were safe from the foreign enemies abroad. As time progressed and criticism of the war grew stronger, I knew something just wasn’t [...]

I left the book I was reading at my workplace so I decided to start on the next book in my list: Are We Rome? by Cullen Murphy. I had never heard of this guy but apparently he writes the Prince Valiant comics that you can see in many newspapers.
So far I’m really enjoying it. [...]

The Global War on Terror, no matter how much we wish to ignore, remains the top issue for the day and, very likely, for the next decade. We are in a generation-long war with Islamic extremism, with people who demand unconditional surrender to their ideology, and have no qualms about using the most barbaric [...]

Our government has kept us in a perpetual state of fear — kept us in a continuous stampede of patriotic fervor — with the cry of grave national emergency. Always there has been some terrible evil — to gobble us up if we would not blindly rally behind it by furnishing the exuberant funds demanded. [...]

OK. Time to rattle the cage a bit.
I strongly support completing what we started in Iraq, whether the reasons to start it were valid or not. We are making significant progress there at the moment; casualties and violence are down to record lows , the Iraqi military is taking over many of the day to day [...]
