Newhampshire, Michigan, SouthCarolina, and You’re Out!

Thompson is finally out of the race. Unfortunate, though, because Thompson brought out the bad in all the other candidates, allowing him to make smart comments and get away with it unnoticed. Of course, the real reason he dropped out of the race was because of his lack of funds and lack of grass-roots masses, as they are called. He showed no presidential ambitions until the last few debates, giving Huckabee and McCain a hard time. I was surprised he didn’t make 1st or 2nd in South Carolina, as I thought he would. I almost wanted him to do well, just to beat McCain and Romney. I’m empathetic to the Thompson supporters.

  2. Exactly. He finished poorly because he had no massive grassroots (a.k.a.: the people who vote to make him finish well in primary and caucus states) thus he ended in an unpleasant manner.
