I won’t comment on the McCain/lobbyist thing because the stories speak for themselves. I take no joy in these situations. I would rather candidates I support defeat their opponents on issues and on the merits, and not some avoidable scandal. But I know many are interested in the story. If so, check out the New York Times piece and then the follow-up in the Washington Post piece. Reading on Walden Bookstore.

I don’t think this will hurt McCain. If people support him they’re already doing it because they either 1) will support him no matter what, or 2) Still are convinced he is better than Hillary and can beat her (regardless of if she even gets the nomination)
Actually, this will likely help McCain. It is so clearly a hit piece and will shore up support for him with some conservatives, who really hate the NYT.
The gruel is really thin in this one. However, Obama may have a worse story developing. And this guy is willing to take a polygraph on it; would Obama?
Yeah, I’ve heard about that. Also, look at the Al Gore piece I wrote yesterday, do a search for Michelle Obama–some nasty stuff may emerge soon.
