The Politico managed to get a copy of the senior thesis that Michelle Obama wrote when she was at Princeton. There was heavy speculation that the thesis contained possibly racist statements; the speculation fueled largely by the fact that Princeton’s library refused to allow anyone to see the thesis. According to the Politico, the copy was obtained through the Obama campaign, as Princeton is still refusing to allow anyone to get a copy from their library.

On a lighter note, there’s a wonderful new Obama meme at http://obamawill.com Very funny!
I have to wonder why Mrs. Obama felt it necessary to capitalize “Black” throughout her thesis. She didn’t capitalize “white,” so the grammatical innovation is a bit curious.
The thesis was nothing particularly damning; mainly a reflection of a young woman focused to a large degree- justified to some degree- on the racial aspects of her interactions at college. At Princton, I doubt such self-absorption is unusual.
No issue here; Princton was being overly cautious in not releasing it.
To Sam James–
I just read it. She capitalizes White as well. Did you read it?
Yes, I stand corrected. In the introduction Mrs. Obama speaks of “white [sic] professors…” She doesn’t always lower case ‘white’
Am I missing the link to Michelle Obama’s thesis so I can read it? Any links out there to the facts , i.e. the thesis itself?
