Iowa congressman says terrorist would celebrate an Obama win

Republicans need to stop fooling themselves, too. The latest announcement over Obama’s phony antiwar stance involves an Iowa Republican that said terrorists would be “dancing in the streets” if Barack Obama became the president. I disagree vehemently. Obama has carefully planned his rhetoric as a cheap way to make people believe he is against foreign intervention, as I’ve stressed several times.

Now if Obama was a true antiwar candidate like Mike Gravel, Ron Paul, or Dennis Kucinich, then we might really see the terrorists rejoicing in the streets. Not because they won a military victory, but because the American people are electing a leader who will remove the bases from “holy land” in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and other countries where Muslims see our empire’s borders as a threat to their civilization.

Republicans need to stop bringing up the politics of fear. If they would realize Obama is not going to pull out of Iraq they would easily secure political victories by discouraging Democrats from voting for him.

Calling Obama antiwar is the biggest help the Republicans can do for him.
