The United States taxpayers are now footing the bill for modernizing the Polish military. How do you feel about that?
“The United States recognizes the need for Polish forces to be modernized,” Bush told reporters. He said “before my watch is over” — he leaves office in January 2009 — U.S. experts will have assessed those needs.
More debt. Bush is reckless and the Congress is stupid for giving him what he wants. I’m sure we’ll hear more about vetoing bills with too many earmarks. The US Government only spends about $30 billion a year in earmarks. We’ll probably be spending at least $2-5 billion fixing up Poland’s military and maybe more.
