Obama: ‘If I am not ready, how is it that you think I should be such a great vice president?’

Obama really slammed Hillary in his comment this morning.

“I don’t understand. If I am not ready, how is it that you think I should be such a great vice president?”

Absolutely beautiful. Obama will not accept the vice presidency. George Will has said that Obama will instead run for Governor of Illinois (which might seem like a step down from Senator), it might give him some prestige and more “experience” under his belt for a presidential run in 2012 or 2016. That’s all speculation though. It’s going to be hard to stop him from being the Democrat nominee right now. Either Hillary will have to screw this up or Al Gore will save the party from itself before the Clintons force a self-destruct.

    Exactly correct. He isn’t ready, but neither is she. He will be the candidate though, unless something huge comes out of the trial of his buddy in Chicago.

    An awesome comment. This is the sort of thing I want to see more of from him. He may not be perfect - he’s a politician after all - but Hillary has some major chinks in the armor. It’s time to start taking the easy shots.
