Obama’s vice president prediction

K-Lo at National Review’s Corner is convinced that Obama’s running mate will be Claire McCaskill. Thoughts on this? Seems an alright choice, but more out of political patronage rather than strategy to win the election.

  1. She would be a risk from the standpoint that the GOP could take the state back; Missouri is pretty purple at the moment. Also, he needs to add experience to his ticket and she doesn’t fill that bill.

Diane Feinstein would be a far more powerful- and politically safer- choice.

  2. How about Lt. Gen. Russel L. Honore? A grey-beard, a non-politician, with an outstanding reputation with the American people because of the video of him telling soldiers to put their weapons up as they patrolled the flooded streets of New Orleans (i.e., don’t point your guns at the citizens!) Obama (and McCain, for that matter) need to reach beyond the Congress for their veeps.
PS: Smart money says if Hillary gets the nod, she picks Wes Clark.

  3. I think Wes Clark would be a hugh threat to McCain.
Clark’s military experiences are rivaled by no one.
    He is squeaky clean too.

  4. What about Bill Richardson? He’s done alot for NM, has a handle on immigration and would be a good regional balance. .

  5. Why isn’t anyone talking about Joe Biden. I think he would be an outstanding VP to Obama. I like Wes Clark too…I don’t think he’s necessarily the best choice, but I think he would make the Obama ticket unbeatable against McCain.

  6. I think Bill Richardson is the ideal choice with all efforts and relationships with other countries. He is respected and that is what this country needs right now.

  7. Dream Ticket Obama/Clinton

    “McDreamy” Ticket Obama/Edwards

  8. i think his best choice would be colin powell.

  9. There are three who immediately come to mind.

Obama/Mike Bloomberg-The Billionaire Jew would ad instant kudos in the areas of Israel relations and the economy. His no-nonsense executive demeanor would serve well in the VEEP position. Think of him as “Obama’s Dick Chenney”, the pit bull that no one wants to cross. He is also an excellent manager and carries with him many independent and republican voters.

Obama/Wes Clark-The most successful former general in the country. Has deep understanding of Middle East relations. Being a military guy, he would help Obama with the redneck vote, although he is Jewish. A former Rhodes Scholar and one of the best strategic thinkers in the country, he would be the perfect sidekick to implement real change.

Obama/Nancy Pelosi- Like most female heads-of-state, she has the rare ability to throw her weight around and use her executive authority, while maintaining her feminine grace. She would also help win over all those feminist voters suppoting Hillary.

In fact, THE DREAM TEAM ADMINISTRATION would be:

    Barack Obama-President
    Mike Bloomberg-Vice President
    Wes Clark-Sec of Defense
    Nancy Pelosi-Sec of State
    Russell Honore-Sec Homeland Sec
    John Edwards-Attorney General
    Hillary Clinton-Sec Health,HumanSer
    Cornell West-Sec of Education
    Mitt Romney-Sec of Commerce
    Frank Raines-Sec of Finance
