Obama and Bloomberg?

Mayor Bloomberg of NYC is meeting with Barack Obama for the second time in four months. Rumor has it that Bloomberg will be endorsing Obama soon. Perhaps Obama would be wise to pick Bloomberg as a running mate if Obama gets the nomination? I see no reason why that would hurt him.

Bloomberg would be huge for O. Not only does it make him competitive in Florida, it puts the best biz-man turned politico into the executive branch - a stark comparison if McCain’s choice is Mitt Romney, who will not deliver Massachusetts.
VPs never get anyone elected, but the dollar this one could produce could help. I can’t see bloomberg playing second fiddle in anything he does, though.
