Doctors support universal health care

I just saw this headline on the Drudge Report:

FLASH: 59% of U.S. doctors support universal health care… Developing…

I can give you one good reason why: malpractice insurance and trial lawyers. The government is creating a desire for national healthcare by bringing problems to the market.

  1. It’s not the government as much as it’s the paperwork. Doctors have to negotiate with different companies as well as the government, and are tired of all of the fighting. They don’t support universal health care as much as they would prefer a single payer system. I for one, don’t blame them. Most of them prefer practicing medicine over doing paperwork. A single payer system would presumably simplify part of that process.

  2. That too.

If we got government out the market would simplify the process and we’d have the best healthcare in the world again.
