Decrying the price of gas, while the guy behind is putting a half tank of fuel into a borrowed Ford 250, which damn near qualifies as a military Tank!

Want to impress me, Hillary? Turn to the guy and say: GO OUT AND GET A REASONABLE-SIZED VEHICLE, YOU FLAMING IDIOT!
Try defeating ‘Hope and Change’ with ‘Brutal Honesty’. [...]

Incase you missed it, Hillary Clinton is actually in favor of a suspension of the gas tax. What’s that, Republicans? A Democrat in favor of a tax cut? There must be a catch, right? Yes, there is.
The New York senator highlighted new oil company profit figures as evidence her proposed windfall profits tax was the [...]

Ron Paul’s book, The Revolution: A Manifesto is officially out today. Pick up a copy if you’re interested in seeing the reasoning behind his (and my) belief in peace, prosperity, capitalism, and small government.

This will more than likely be my last posting about Reverend Jeremiah Wright, not because there is nothing more to say but because the interest will not be there. I continue to write about it today because the readers of this blog are still interested in reading about him and commenting on him. But soon, [...]

Here is a change of pace from some of our political stuff like Reverend Wright, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John McCain. Lee Elia would have made an interesting pr guy for one of the candidates. Listen to this.
Lee Elia, then manager of the Chicago Cubs, performed his famous rant on April 29, 1983 after a [...]

The Reverend Wright issue brings forth an issue regarding why he is an issue, and Hagee is not as big of an issue for McCain. You can wheel out a number of excuses like “oh, McCain wasn’t in church listening to Hagee for 20 years”. Which is true, but I consider that void because McCain [...]

Just a quick commentary. I am still and always will be a fan of Reverend Jeremiah Wright. What he did at the National Press Club, questioning Barack Obama’s integrity, was out of line. He is a United States Marine, served in the Navy, assisted in the hospital care of a President of the United States [...]

Just a bit of an observation: everyone who was staunchly defending Jeremiah Wright over the past month have now taken a right turn and are saying Wright was not good for Obama.
Please.
Obama now pretends that he “just discovered” what Wright really believes and represents. What are you, Barack, the last man on earth to figure [...]

I don’t make it a practice to quote conservative commentators, much less even read them, but I must say Tom Roeser caught my attention when explaining Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s actions of late.
Two Reasons.
Knowledgeable African Americans, some of whom attend Trinity United Church of Christ, tell me that there are two reasons why the [...]

Yesterday, hundreds of bloggers watched Jeremiah Wright’s speech at the National Press Club. Afterwards, most of them criticized him for opening old wounds, for hurting Barack Obama’s candidacy, or for using incredibly divisive language. Even Andrew Sullivan, who downplayed the speech at first because he thought it was simply political gossip, denounced the reverend’s “ugly” and [...]

Now, how could he treat Reading’s favorite ex-Marine like that?
Sounds like he did a great job, actually. However, it means one of two things (or both):
1) He’s smoothly bailing for political reasons, possibly in coordination with Rev. Wright. In which case, he’s just matched the Hildebeast in hypocricy.
2) He really doesn’t know how to judge [...]

Interesting post from the LewRockwell blog. I’m not a fan of the Libertarian Party because of their lack of intellectualism and their love to emphasize drug legalization instead of the more important things. The difference between a libertine in the Libertarian Party and a true libertarian is that the libertine will object to authority for [...]

People have got to get over their crush on Obama.
Obama is still in this; and the Wright fiasco gives him a chance to remove this cloud and address it again. He has the most votes, the most states, the most money, the most new voters and the most delegates and the most Senators on his [...]

Oil has more than doubled in oil prices in the past couple of years–it would take less than another doubling to bring it around to $200 a barrel like some people report that it will.
Truckers are protesting in front of the Capitol, people are outraged at high gas prices, but none of that will change [...]

I doubt this will show up again. Either Rove is as dirty as some make him out to be and he will “silence” the whistleblowers, or it will amount to nothing and Newsweek and other media outlets reporting this story will hope we forget that they brought it up.
The trial of Chicago developer and political [...]

This time of year is usually “down-time” for politics. Things get boring as people prepare for the ‘good news’ that starts during May and June. Right now is a really bad time, and I’ve gotten tired of it. The Hillary-Barack race has gone on far too long, leading to hatred on both sides. Republicans are [...]

I have had enough of people judging the reverend Jeremiah Wright in their own patriotic terms for a religious statement he made from the pulpit. Other articles and sources may point out the reverends service to America in the Marines, the Navy, and in medicine to defend his patriotism. In agreement with these views, I think when his service [...]

Reverend Jeremiah Wright will one day owe Sean Hannity a great deal of gratitude for making him famous. Unfortunately for Hannity, his attempt at a high tech media-lynching was to make Reverend Wright “infamous” and not “famous” and “respected.”
This attempt at a high tech media-lynching failed.
Reverend Wright is now showing the world what a great [...]
