Frankly Hillary, I don’t give a damn

Richard Cohen wrote an op-ed piece for the Washington Post and he talks about how when people are ready to tell a lie they start out with the word “frankly.”

Long ago I discovered that the word “frankly” often meant a lie was coming. I learned this from an insurance agent, who preceded every attempt to sell me useless coverage with a “frankly.” This is why I distrust what Hillary Clinton said about Barack Obama and his admittedly klutzy statement about guns, church, immigrants and bitterness — “elitist, out of touch and, frankly, patronizing,” she said. Frankly, I don’t believe her.

Frankly Hillary, I don’t give a damn. And that is the truth. Reading on Walden Bookstore.

  1. Frankly,I’m confused

  2. His comment was right on and more and more people are realizing it. For either of the two clowns to call Obama an elitist is a joke.

Do you ever wonder why almost every Republican and every Democrat have the same party line view point on issues that have nothing to do with actual government? Both parties have drawn lines in the sand and claimed ownership of issues related to guns, gays and the gospel. It is no wonder when people with real views that don’t follow strict party lines come along and they are called crazy or just marginalized. Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich are a few examples.

BTW, neither Democrats or Republicans have ever taken a stand on immigration. Democrats would love to wrap illegals immigrants up in their socialized bosom but the Union voters would be jeopardized. Republicans would love to break out the whip and crack down but certain big business interests will not have it.

  3. Definitiely a case of pots and kettles pointing out their each other’s sootiness. Face up, folks; they’re ALL elitists. But that fact works to Barack’s disadvantage, because it forces him away from the ‘man of the people’ arguments. (Yeah right; we all went to private schools in Hawaii, attended Ivy League college, live in million dollar homes, and our spouses all get 261% pay increases in one year).

And that leaves him having to talk about his record- such as it is- and his beliefs on specifically what must be done. And that doesn’t sell as well as the nonspecific warm fuzzy of ‘hope and change from a man of the people’.

  4. NPR (All Things Distorted) was playing some audio of the Three Headed McClintobama Monster. One of the three is going to end up as president and we’re all going to get prison raped. The choice is now down to which voice do you want to hear as you are being violated. There’s the shrill and monotone Clinton with her grudge and her strap-on, McCain panting and grunting “bomb-bomb-bomb…bomb-bomb-your-ass” through his clenched mandible and finally some sweet nothings in your ear from Sauve-O-bama.

No thanks. I think I’ll just turn off the radio or tv when any of these traitorous pieces of crap open their mouths.

  5. Rechill, just because you’re disappointed with the current crop of politicians doesn’t mean you should disengage yourself from the political arena. In fact, democracy is about helping those without a voice gain one. I’m unhappy with all three of the contenders too, but shutting off the radio, as you put it, won’t do any good.

  6. No one can sit on a cactus for 20 years and pretend is isn’t there.

As for Hillary, good for her! You guys are mad because she just won’t fold her hands and sit on her apron…

  7. Welcome, Olga! This place has seemed bereft of Hillary supporters and we do indeed need that viewpoint presented. Fire away!
