Obama just roasted Rev. Wright; Medium Well.

Now, how could he treat Reading’s favorite ex-Marine like that?

Sounds like he did a great job, actually.  However, it means one of two things (or both):

1) He’s smoothly bailing for political reasons, possibly in coordination with Rev. Wright.  In which case, he’s just matched the Hildebeast in hypocricy.

2) He really doesn’t know how to judge the ‘content of character’ of someone he’s known for 20 years, nor has he listened much in church.

Neither scenario encourages me that this is the kind of person we want in the White House.

  1. Yeah, because I’m sure that all of your friends and associates are perfect, right?

  2. Not for one minute. But then, I don’t hang with someone with outlandish expressed views as that, call him ‘mentor’ for much of that time, then throw him under the bus when politically expedient (even if permission for the bus-throwing was given on the sly).

Seems like a typical thing for a cynical, hypocritical politician to do; not for someone who is the ‘Hope and Change’ candidate.

  3. I go for option 1. Reverend Wright says some more stuff and Obama gets to roast him publicly saving some face. Frankly it seems too contrived for me. At least in this case, the reverend was speaking politically and not religiously from the pulpit.

  4. Could the Rev be a closet supporter of Senator Clinton?

    Stranger things have happened.

  5. No: but how much market is there for raced-based agitation and the professionals at it if Obama becomes president?

  6. I was initially disgusted with Rev. Wright, but after watching his interview on PBS and realizing that he has been terribly misrepresented by the media, I changed my mind.

Obama is proving himself to be nothing more than your average politician – willing to do or say anything to get elected.
