John McCain called himself a conservative, liberal, er Republican whatever, my friend
We can all make mistakes and misspeak except we aren’t running for President. I play this for Mike O. just to show that they all misspeak at one time or another. We didn’t have recording devices then but I bet even Lincoln misspoke: occasionally. I think we judged a bit too harshly on some of these things.
For this tape I could easily argue what a flip-flopper McCain is by arguing first he’s a conservative, then a liberal, then a Republican. The point is how will they act when they have the time to duly deliberate and give thought to issues like Iraq, health care, immigration, budget and taxes. He’s definitely a flip-flopper but that is based on his actions not his misspeaks like this.

Sorry RWB but 57 states? ..No contest, MikeO has you on this one HaHaHa
I demand a recount of the states.
The only thing I can figure is that I believe there are 57 primary/caucus combinations for the Democrats. Don’t hold me to it; my knowledge of the mechanics of the other side of the aisle is sketchy. But even if so, he has more than one to go.
Misspeaking is common in the business; it’s just ‘57 states’ went a fair amount past the norm. However, it’s mostly a ‘Hmmmm?’ head shaking moment, even better than John’s.
Unless, of course, Barack’s planning on a war of expansionism :D
