Rush Limbaugh is proving to be a delusional person. He said his “Operation Chaos” has been a success. “Operation Chaos” for those of you without a scorecard, is this plan that Limbaugh created in his own mind that he says will divide the Democratic Party.
What?
“One of my next objectives is to try and convince Republicans to cross over and vote for McCain down the road,” conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh jokingly tells The Politico’s Jonathan Martin a story this morning about the impact that Rush’s “Operation Chaos” effort has had on the Democratic presidential campaign.
Rush tells Jonathan that his effort to prolong the battle between Democrats Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton by telling his supporters to voter for which ever of the two was the underdog at the time, “worked like a charm. … My audience loved it, they participated in it, they had fun with it, as did I.”
The Democratic Party will come out of this process stronger and more united than ever in its history. The Presidential race is only a small part of it. Both houses of Congress will gain seats. Governorships will turn Democratic. And state legislatures will also turn Democratic or more Democratic.
“Operation Chaos” is working like a charm. I think it refers to the state of Limbaugh’s mind, with “chaos” being the keyword. And “Operation Chaos” is working but only in Rush Limbaugh’s mind. Reading on Walden Bookstore.

Op Chaos has been a great piece of schtick by Rush. The king of bombast is an humorist, first and foremost, who owes his career to the target-rich Clinton regime of the 90’s. My mom (retired school teacher and life-long Democrat) works at the polls on election day, like many an elderly lady. In the NJ primary, held long-before Op Chaos, she re-registered (as per nj law) many Republicans as Dems so they could cross-over and vote for Hillary or Barak. This was when the GOP primary was still wide-open. Blame GWB for the exodus from the GOP. Rush is not delusional, he knows how to exploit a trend. Willie Nelson once remarked in response to praise that he had started the Austin music scene, “I saw a parade going by, so I got in front of it and everbody thought I was the Grand Marshall!”
“One of my next objectives is to try and convince Republicans to cross over and vote for McCain.” Rush is a comedy genius, and this election season has provided him with his best material in seven years. His brand of humor depends on being antagonistic to the party in power, but his persona, as right-wing demogogue, restricts his opportunities during a GOP administration. The best thing that could happen to El Rushbo is another Clinton administration.

Rush just jumped on a rising tide that was already ongoing and gave it momentum and a place to focus. There is no question some crossovers will be permanent, but November will determine how much.
The Obam/a McCain contest could go other way, depending on a lot of things over the next six months. However, 8 months ago, who would have guessed the GOP condidates was even in the hunt? Talk about letting a political office slide off the silver platter.
