Obama: Rapidly Becoming a Synonym for Arrogance.

This is just amazing

His chair has his name and campaign logo embroidered on the back top — “Obama ‘08” on one line and “President” underneath.

Please don’t think they just left the ‘for’ off; the people who do this type of outfitting do not make such mistakes. Not a single item for sale in the Obama Store has ‘Obama ’08′, then ‘President’. This was not emulation of an existing design that I can find; it seems to be simply an ego-dripping custom job.  The fact he had a chair custom designed for him alone (as opposed to the typical shared seating in McCain’s plane) makes in come across very much like a throne, does it not?

And this comment says it all:

After looking at a few photos of Obama’s cabin, Allen quipped, “Air Force One may seem a tad claustrophobic.”

But remember; he’s a man of the people, even when he forgets his commitments to them.

Update: Hopefully, these posts won’t result in a DOS attack against the Political Inquirer from an IP registered to Obama.

  2. David Gergen pegged you guys on Sunday:

    Arrogance is code for Uppity.

    Spot on!

  3. I’ll have to let my Ugandan daughter know that I must be a closet racist, then; my Chinese wife as well. Also, Juliett, whom I working with on the charity effort in Kenya. Have you kicked in yet, Jack?

Throw that race card down, one more time; it might work yet.

  4. I applaud what you’re doing for your adopted daughter in Uganda. You do trot her out every time someone suggests that your comments actually do exhibit a very clear racism, waving it like it is a flag of immunity.

You remind me of my brother-in-law. He has a number of close friends who are black, but still, he is as virulent a racist as anyone I know. He likes them individually and hates them en masse.

Or of C&E Christians who feel free to be very unchristian the other 363 days.

But what are you doing for, say Katrina victims? Or to improve the completely evil judicial death penalty system in Texas? Or to improve the schools in Houston?

Or is your charity only for those at a very great distance?

  5. You know Jack; what is racist is your assumption that the same rules that apply to other arrogant politicians (remember John Kerry?), don’t apply to another because of his skin color. I treat everyone the same, Jack; arrogance has no skin color. The only thing I’m bigoted against (unfortunately for you) is against name-calling assholes who don’t have a clue. Just trying to talk in your language, Jack.

While Katrina was going on, I was literally in the air on my way to Africa. I dump money on people- regardless of skin color- that use it for a hand up, not a handout. I didn’t see you on the roof next to me on my Habitat for Humanity work in South Dallas; for a Katrina victim.

As for the death penalty; when the crime rate is ethnically balanced, come back and talk to me.

And I would like just once for a chump like you to actually list what you personally have done in a charitable nature.

  6. Name calling? I reread my post, but it isn’t there. We have noticed before, Mike, that you dishonestly make statements about what people have said and then attack that strawman, rather than deal honestly with the issues raised.

And you seem to agree that the Texas system is unworthy of the US, but you see no need to correct it until “the crime rate is ethnically balanced.” That is overt bigotry and is downright unamerican.
