McCain takes a 5 point lead

Barack Obama’s only hope to win the presidential election at this point is to pick Hillary Clinton as his vice presidential running mate (I agree with Ralph Nader on something!). McCain has pulled ahead 5 points–the “Messiah” status of Obama has been declining since the high point in late February\early March.

What does this tell us? I think it shows that some Americans are waking up to the fact that Obama is not a proponent of “change”, but merely a Lyndon Johnson 2.0 who is going to expand government welfare and drag us into a war with Pakistan and expand the Afghan war.

On the downside, this might tell us people actually are agreeing with McCain or are simply running to him because of fear. In either of those situations we might end up being worse off than had Obama been elected.

Whatever happens in the next eight years, it won’t be pretty. Here is an image describing my opinion of the whole situation:

  1. Wow! With all respect, you are jumping the gun. This election is going to be very close. Both Obama & McCain are still very much in it.

Speaking of expanding government, as measued by debt, could it possibly get any bigger than it’s already gotten under the GOP & George W??
