It looks like the era of global warming is over and the new era of global cooling will begin.
An expert from the National Autonomous University of Mexico predicted that in about ten years the Earth will enter a “little ice age” which will last from 60 to 80 years and may be caused by the decrease in solar activity….
Velasco Herrera described as erroneous predictions of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), pursuant to which the planet is experiencing a gradual increase in temperature, the so-called global warming. The models and forecasts of the IPCC “is incorrect because only are based on mathematical models and presented results at scenarios that do not include, for example, solar activity,” said the specialist also in image processing and signs and prevention of natural disasters.
The government, the media, and Al Gore have pushed global warming propaganda at the American public very hard because it will lead to an enormous increase in government power and an excuse for more control over our lives that we normally would not accept.
Luckily we kept the global warming fanatics at bay. Now if we can just fire all the other politicians ready to expand government in every other area.
Barring any other factors, the trend we are on with increasing C02 levels will cause warmer global temperatures, increased ocean levels, and stronger more erratic weather patterns. That is not disputable. Are there other factors that could come into play such as changing wind currents, solar activity, eliptical orbits? Yes. Do we know exactly what the temperatures, rainfall, ocean levels will be. No.
To say that we should not be concerned about increasing C02 levels because we may have a cooler period of time due to solar activity is extremely ignorant and like sticking your head in the ground.
Global warming has been going on, in this cycle, for about 13,000 years. No dispute, even with the interruption of the Younger Dryas.
Are we near the peak of the cycle? Nobody really knows.
Will all the ice melt? Probably, as that seems to be the normal state of the planet, with wide variation all the way to fully iced over (google: slowball earth).
Are we causing it. No, but it is possible that we are adding an insignificant incremental percentage.
Can we stop it? No way, no way at all. Not even by living in caves. Not even by going extinct. It will happen.
When is it going to have an effect on us? The effects will probably not be seriously noticeable for another 20 to 200 generations, but it could be less. It will not be next week.
So is it time to panic? It certainly is. If the funding agencies figure out that this is an extremely slow process, the grant money will dry up and lots of academics and other professional Cassandras will be out of work. This is a crisis, Dammit!
I wish I could keep track of which is it: Global Warming or Global Cooling. It seems two different sides of the same coin believed by half the scientists. The other half do not seem to believe it is either. Either way, I am just trying to figure out how they can predict either considering the scientists cannot even predict which direction a tropical storm is suppose heading.
So, Global this or Global that? The reason for Global warming or Global cooling is the same, it is beacuse of China and India. Both countries are on the same side of the earth and both countries have the largest population on the earth. So it makes perfectly good sense to conclude that, not only is the weight on that side of the earth slowing us down, more sun coverage equals more heat on one side; then there has to be less sun and more cooling on the other side. The extra weight may also cause additional wobble in the earth’s axis reeking havoc to our global weather systems. Beyond this truth it is anyone’s guess! What you think I make this stuff up?
PBS just did a one hour special on how jet streams are causing a one degree cooling so the global temperature is actually warmer than they thought. During this same show they showed how the smog from the US had caused the famine in Ethiopia in the 80’s. They also showed how the smog from China and India could cause problems for the US now. I love how these people can both affirm their beliefs and contradict themselves at the same time. Is it smog, is it global warming, no its El’ Nino.

The sun spot activity has been zero for some time.
The normal cycle has stopped for some reason.
There may turn out to be more to this prediction than
some here think.
If we are entering a super low sun spot event, the new ice age started 400 days ago.
Ice age? You couldn’t tell it by Southern California.
It’s November 17th, and the temps are in the 90’s (even at the beaches). Some cooling is coming next week, but it looks like another warm front is right behind it. October 2008 was the warmest I’ve ever remembered. :(
It is of no relevance what it will hapen : cooling or warming !
In both situations we will get the new “Patriotic Act” , sorry, the new “Climatic Act”. :)
And if you will survive another 35 years as Bilderberg will do, we will get the “3 Crisis per century Act” asking you to give them the gold !
Global warming or global cooling—who knows and why should we even worry ourselves about something that our present technology allows us to do nothing about. Its obvious to me that man can do nothing, and that he has not done anything to bring on either of these events, if indeed either one is actually happening. Its sad that some will use fear tactics to gain what they think will be an advantage to secure the changes they favor. I would not even participate in this debate except those on the left are using this deception to advance their personal causes—causes that I believe will do great harm to this country.
