- Hillary Clinton’s supporters; the Baby Boomer feminist contingent will NOT be happy with this pick. The PUMAs will be up in arms at the convention, for sure. Some of that crew really has their knives out, working on issues like; is Barack even a legal U.S. citizen?
- ‘Change’: Joe Biden has been in Washington and a major insider longer than John McCain. Hard to talk about John having been in Washington too long when you voluntarily pick a running mate who’s been there longer.
- ‘Evil’ lobbyists: Biden has taken over $5 mil directly from lawyers and lobbyists.
- Going after ‘predatory’ lenders: no one is more in the hip pocket of the banks than ‘Delaware Joe’.
- The hipness of announcing the choice by text message, heavily hyped by the Obama campaign. It was leaked many hours before the text message went out- at 4:50am EST Saturday morning. Nothing can bury the timeliness of a message like that, nor irritate a bunch of people as much to have their phone go off at that ungodly hour.
And lastly, there will be a few Biden quotes that will come back to haunt him. For starters:
…an ABC interview from August 2007, in which Biden said he would stand by an earlier statement that Obama was not ready to serve as president.
…
“I am not running for vice president,” he said in a Fox interview. “I would not accept it if anyone offered it to me. The fact of the matter is I’d rather stay as chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee than be vice president.”
Or the GOP could just run this whole piece of Joe Biden lambasting Obama as a ‘Johnny-come-lately”.
Still, Biden adds foreign policy experience (and experience in general) that Obama desperately needs. Not the most dynamic of choice, but better than most Barack could have made. And none of it fixes the inherent problems pointed out long ago.
UPDATE: Of course, there’s foreign policy experience and there’s foreign policy stumbling.

Well, Biden has been a champion of ending violence against women. Also, factcheck.org posted color pictures of Obama’s birth certificate. That rumor should pretty much die I would think.
As far as Hillary, if there was any way for Obama to say that he would choose her for an important cabinet post such as Department of Health (or something else that Hillary wanted and she would be qualifed for) I would think it would do wonders to bring back the slighted women folk.
Personally, I believe at the end of the day they are Democrats and will vote democratic.
Personally, at the end of the day, I know that dems will not vote for Obama. Mark my word. HE HAS NO EXPERIENCE. Forget everything else, and he has no experience. Oh, he did vote to raise taxes 94 times.
