An Ego for the Ages in a Classical Setting

So Barack is going to give his acceptance speech from a minature version of an ancient Greek temple.  And what were those temples normally used for?  Worshiping the Gods, naturally.

(UPDATE: ‘Who mourns for Adonis’?  Absolutely perfect!)

Such an exceptional ego requires portrayel by the exceptional talent of Tennyson Hayes, who comes through again with an appropriate offering:

  7. Who are the marketing wizards that came up with this one? Either this pandering to the Greek vote in reference to the original Democracy, he is presumed to be “in the White House” already, another columned structure, or this is outside of his control and he doesn’t even like the idea.

It’s hard to read into this as his decision because it is just so stupid.

  18. Isn’t there something about this that made the annointed one kind of embarassed? Is he capable of being embarassed by tributes to him?
These people are either politically tone deaf, or obama just couldn’t resist this setting. I can’t believe the American people will appreciate this type of farcical posing by a presidential candidate. .

  19. Good grief. He deserves to be embarassed. This guy is totally out of his ever lovin’ mind.

  32. I simply can’t believe the disconnected, brain-dead idiots who are running Obama’s campaign. There will be a backlash among working class voters against this kind of overt ostentatiousness, just like there was against his “victory tour” in Europe. One thing Americans do not want in their president is a put-on.

  33. Great photoshop work. What are those, collared greens?

Obamagedon is Getting closer. Lights, camera, action.

  34. I’d like to see McCain win just to be able to see Obama’s smug face on the day he looses. The way he looks down his nose at every one. What a jerk. What an ass. Send him back to Kenya where he was born.

  35. *cough* Ummm… besides the fact that most Washington DC buildings have this same kind of greek revival column façade, you all DO know that Obama’s speech tomorrow is coming on the 45th anniversary of MLK Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech, right? And that that speech took place in front of the Lincoln Memorial which has *gasp* greek columns in front of it?

But thank goodness nobody in the Republican Party would ever stoop to crass symbolism. Whew!

  38. Osama Obama could open his oration with:
“Friends, citizens and suckers, give (not lend) me your money because since I’ve crossed the Ruby-con, living in D.C. has become mighty expensive for me and my sycophants, hangers-on and publicity guys.”

  39. HAHAHA thats great….but why is he holding dandelion leaves?

We are well aware of this. We are also gleefully aware of the total irony that Lincoln, the guy who ended slavery, and MLK, who asked us all to judge one another by content of character rather than level of skin pigment, were both REPUBLICANS–yes, indeedy, the anti-choice zealots of the 1850’s and 60’s who decried the evil of one human being regarding another human being as mere property and 100 years later voted in equality for all, and suffered persecution and murder for being n*****-lovers; while the Obamassiah’s own party vigorously argued for the states’ right to choose, and went on to establish the KKK as their terrorist wing and to enact vicious Jim Crow laws every time they controlled Congress, and even brought out the water hoses when those whose level of skin pigment was a bit too high to suit them, demanded equal treatment under the law.

  41. Oh and by the way, Barack himself has very little actual Black ancestry–his father was far more Arab than Black.
And Arabs in Africa were then, and are now, responsible for a good deal of the slave trade in the world.

  42. Not even the the egomaniacs Blair or Broon would have the nerve. I suppose its one way of really securing the Greek vote!
I hope he gets plenty of company for the ‘ides of March’ !

  43. Obama’s so stupid - he was born with a marble spoon in his mouth.
I can’t believe how ignert he is. And all the ignert Americans who plan to vote for him.
It’s a sad state of affairs when we have dumb and dumber as the choices for president.
I’ll vote for Baldwin if he’s on my ballot.
Or I’ll write in someone else’s name.
    Hail to Caesar! hahahah

  44. I’m glad this site supports Free Speech. This is an incredible Nobama poster, it shall truly go down as one of the best. I will send it to some Lib friends, I bet they will hate it.

People should vote on the real issues and a candidate’s true character and political leanings, not just a bunch of populist fluff.

People are hypnotized with Obamamania and his Obammunism. Good fodder for Obama posters here. Posters about him reflect this puppy dogs, doves and rainbows feeling. The Obama Utopia.

If Obama doesn’t get POTUS in 2008 and if he can stay pretty clean, do some good things as Senator, and then become Governor of IL, he could be unstoppable in 2012 or 2016. Scary stuff.

I would dearly love to see a Jewish, African-American woman as POTUS. It’s not race or gender that makes it for me though. It’s political beliefs that matter, and socialism is bad for everybody, (accept those high in government or high-level academia) especially poor people, of all races. Obama is a dyed-in-the-wool Marxist, no thanks.

His ‘Change’, ‘Hope’ and ‘Progress’ mantras are actually somewhat self-mocking. Making your own Obama posters is totally addicting.
I laughed so hard I almost had a breakdown. LOL!

  47. Speaking of Obama…

“The police often question him, just because they find him interesting. His blood, smells like cologne. In every country in the world, there is a sandwhich named after him. He once punched a magician, that’s right, you heard me. If he were to mail a letter without postage, it would still get there. When it is raining, it is because he is thinking about something sad. Even the things his parrot says, are insightful. If there were an interesting gland, his would be larger than most men’s entire lower intestines. His shirts never wrinkle. He is left-handed. And right-handed. He once knew he dialed the wrong number, even though the person on the other end wouldn’t admit it. You can see his charisma from space. If a monument was built in his honor, Mt. Rushmore would close due to poor attendance. The moon is only full when it has his permission. He has never lost a costume contest, and he has never dressed in costume. He is, the Most Interesting Man in the World.”

I wonder if he drinks Dos Equis.
