Sarah Palin’s Night

Was her speech a home run??? Hell, it went through the scoreboard and embedded itself in the windshield of the opposing owner’s car! Maybe not yet Reagan reborn as a hockey mom, but Reagan had been been on the GE circuit (where I first heard him) for many years before he ran in California. She’s been doing this for a lot less time.

I also like how the whole family was there to challenge the smear merchants. People in small town Alaska are tough, including the high schoolers. All this whining about what she’s doing to her family is laughable. They are expressing their unshakable faith in themselves as a unit, their town as a community, and their state to face anything to come.  I wouldn’t face them without a brigade (or one of Biden’s ‘battalions’) of Marines.  What a GREAT choice for VP!

Obama’s camp immediate reaction? Complete knee-jerk reflex trying to tie it all to Bush; she left them completely brain-dead.

I agree with Peggy Noonan’s taken-out-of-context statement of ‘It’s over’; but not the way the Left would like.  Judge for yourself below:

  1. [...] There are those that try to spin it by claiming it is “taken-out-of-context,” such as our friend Mike. I agree with Peggy Noonan’s taken-out-of-context statement of ‘It’s over’; but not the way [...]

  2. The best scorecard is how McCain’s contributions spiked just recently. That says a lot.

  3. The funny thing is, though Palin certainly lit the fire, it was our idiot liberal media who supplied the gasoline. I had said on another tread that anything they tried to berate (oops I mean vet) her on was only going to blow back on Obama… Nice work U FOOLS!!!

Anybody notice a certain pattern of how none of the Left’s intentions ever seem to work out like they hope (from the economy and their welfare state policies, to foreign policy and their chronic penchant for appeasement)…

  4. A home run, and it was, doesn’t win the whole game unless the score is 1-0. Obama already hit one, so the score right now is 1-1. Second inning coming up…

I wonder if this makes Joe Biden’s job easier. It is easier to attack a pit bull, even when she wears lipstick.

It is interesting that we now see praise for her having put a WINDFALL PROFITS TAX on oil companies. How is that going to sit with the base?

What if she really means it about reform? Not all that many democrat oxen left out there to be gored after the past 7 years. Halliburton and Blackwater can’t be all that happy.

It will be exciting to watch no matter which way it goes.

I think the pundits and the late night comics have all ordered in extra cases of champagne.

  5. Looks like Joe is already picking up the challenge:

“I didn’t hear the phrase ‘middle class.’ I didn’t hear a single word about health care. I didn’t hear a single word about helping people get to college,” Biden, a U.S. senator from Delaware, told CNN’s “American Morning” Thursday.

“They don’t have a single answer [for] how to dig us out of the hole we’ve been dug into the last eight years,” Biden added.

Biden countered by saying Obama had helped formulate “the most significant ethics reform bill since Watergate.”

  6. Joe Biden attempting to play to the concerns of the middle class? Banker Joe? That will be fun to watch.

I wouldn’t want to be that chum to the Baracudda myself.

  7. Mike: Have you got anything to back up the “Banker Joe” sneer? Nope, you are just going to smear his son over his lawsuit against the Moon bunch.

What is Biden’s net worth in his disclosures? and as compared to McCain’s?

You are just putting out more Carl Rove playbook attack BS again.

    and again.

    and again.
