Maybe not yet Reagan reborn as a hockey mom, but Reagan had been been on the GE circuit (where I first heard him) for many years before he ran in California. She’s been doing this for a lot less time.
I also like how the whole family was there to challenge the smear merchants. People in small town Alaska are tough, including the high schoolers. All this whining about what she’s doing to her family is laughable. They are expressing their unshakable faith in themselves as a unit, their town as a community, and their state to face anything to come. I wouldn’t face them without a brigade (or one of Biden’s ‘battalions’) of Marines. What a GREAT choice for VP!
Obama’s camp immediate reaction? Complete knee-jerk reflex trying to tie it all to Bush; she left them completely brain-dead.
