How you take care of family matters. It’s a measure of character and often of what your word is worth.

In the McCain’s case, they actually expended their family through adoption of a alittle girl brom Bangledesh with special medical needs.  The family- including those from his previous marriage- is close. They also are heavy donors to many charitable causes, personally and voluntarily ‘extending the family’ as we all should.

In Obama’s case, he is quite close to the immediate family of wife and daughters; it is his relationship with the more distant ones- or complete lack of it other than as a convenient photo op- that is most telling.

It has just come to light that his Aunt Onyango, written glowingly about in Obama’s book as ‘Aunt Zeituni’, is an illegal alien living in a rundown Boston flat and is under deportation order. We primarily know the latter because that evil Bush administration has taken the unusual step of protecting her from deportation for the time being.  Other than take $260 from in illegal campaign contributions, Obama has done nothing to help her, though they’ve been in contact.  She refuses to speak to reporters until after November 4th.  You think the least Barack could do for her is get her a decent immigration attorney; he might even consider being a sponsor, since the income from the book that extensively went into his family is more than enought to lend a helping hand.

‘Uncle Omar’, also in Boston, was apparently beaten by armed robbers and evicted from his small flat for nonpayment. It has taken a London paper to discover this, since the American MSM is too busy with Walissa dumpster divin, deep record searches of a plumber in Ohio, and Sarah’s shoes to be bothered.

His half-brother George lives in a slum in Kenya; the least Obama could do is get off a $100 MoneyGram to him occasionally to get him out of there (I do that for about a half dozen older orphans to keep them in school in Uganda, and they sure aren’t my blood relatives).  George apparently wants to become an auto mechanic; a Presidential candidate who mad $4million last year and has billionaire friends might go so far as to be sure he get vocational training.

When he visited his other relatives in a rundown school in Kenya a couple years ago, he promised to help.  As the principle said, they’ve not seen one Shilling.  And it’s not like the Obama’s are very charitable elsewhere, with the lowest charitable giving rate of ANY of the major candidates.

It appears that it is Barack Obama who has made a ‘commitment out of selfishness’.  Take from thee, not from me, just like on equal pay for equal work for women.
