I just read comments on a news site that was discussing Emanuel’s call for national civil service. The reactions by the commenters were absolutely horrifying–though some have reservations, they were prepared to give their lives and their childrens’ lives up for the compulsory service because they believed that the Obama administration would only do this if they believed it was best for the country.

Given the increasingly socialist nature of the War Party (Republicans), I expect there will be no disagreement and they will comply–after all, Obama was elected by “the people”. Vox populi, vox dei.
