Hmm

It seems some at the National Review have finally, after 8 years, billions of dollars, and a few thousand dead Americans, conceded that:

The price of defending our nation cannot be spending years — at a cost of precious lives and hundreds of billions of dollars — in a vain attempt to give people who despise us a way of life they don’t want.

Wasn’t this obvious all along?

  1. you might be right that we are attempting to give them a way of life they don’t want. The Kurds especially, I say w sarcasm. Pres O seems to be trying to do the same in the US via legislative actions that many Americans do not want either. Things are becoming more obvious indeed,

  2. I’m sitting here wondering how something that was entirely false becomes an absolute truth at noon on 1/20/09.

    If you want to be taken seriously, you need to be honest. Start small, be honest with others first, it’s much easier. Once you get comefortable with that, you can try the hard stuff, being honest with yourself.
