The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

In less than three months, we celebrate our nation’s independence. It’s a day traditionally for cookouts, parades, bunting, fireworks and speeches. This year, I believe we should make it about INDEPENDENCE! We need to activate all those tea partiers for INDEPENDENCE DAY 2009! A national citizen-based demand for freedom from the gathering tyranny emanating from Washington.

Everywhere conservatives are screaming-they are now labeled “right-wing extremists” by Janet Napolitano and the Department of Homeland Security. They are proud of the label since they are opposed to the entire Obama administration, but they are scared at the same time-the “right wing extremist” document(s) probably prompted a large portion of the conservative base to [...]

The very essence of modern conservatism is a losing spirit. By definition, a conservative is someone who wants to “preserve” something. If you are a conservative, you are part of a group of people that could be viewed as some kind of historian fan club, reminisicing about the good old days. Socially and culturally I [...]

What the Left cannot fathom is that someone would actually have principles and, heaven forfend! – act according to those principles.

The NRA, Gun Owners of America, and Republicans in general should change their argument when it comes to gun ownership. I’m bringing this up because there is a news article out today about how Barack Obama wants to introduce a new law that regulates “assault weapons”–this includes magazines that hold more than 10 cartridges. I’ll [...]

Michael Ramirez is an extraordinarily talented political cartoonist. To all those Americans who had no better sense than to vote for Barack Obama and other Democratic Party candidates, here are some of Michaels thoughts in cartoon form, so even YOU can understand them.

Representative Michele Bachmann of Minnesota has become an outspoken – and occasionally controversial – Conservative voice in the House of Representatives since her first term began in 2007. A frequent guest on a variety of news and commentary programs on radio and television, Rep. Bachmann was kind enough to answer “Five Questions For Michele Bachmann.”

I guess this is Pelosi’s way of helping out the incoming Administration: by topping the stupidity of naming a pack of tax cheats and make Ivy Leaguer Obama appear only AS dumb as a bag of hammers:
Looks like each and every one of us is going to be fired or laid [...]

Your party’s politburo-like approach to governance is driving our country to ruin. Conservatives (many Republicans are too cowardly to confront) will not bend over and allow you a free pass.

Madame Speaker, many Americans are hoping the new administration will solve the economic problems we face. That’s not likely to happen, because the economic advisors to the new President have no more understanding of how to get us out of this mess [...]

A high-ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, Congressman Jerrold Nadler (NY-08), has introduced a resolution that preempts President Bush from pardoning any members of his administration who were involved in certain acts.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Jerrold Nadler (NY-08), Chair of the Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties, introduced [...]

From Bob Higgs at the Independent Institute:
As we consider the world’s rulers, one question overshadows all the others: are they fools or charlatans? Having thought about this question for nearly half a century, I lean toward the view that they are both. If the masses were to arrive at this answer, of course, the entire apparatus [...]

I was sad to learn that Howard Dean will not seek a second term as chairman of the Democratic National Committee. This was a great victory for Howard Dean whose ideas and implementation of those ideas that set the stage for the 2008 Presidential campaign. President-elect Barack Obama simply took it to a higher level, [...]

Since Obama is now the president-elect, my attacks are going to be directed at him. I could always make apologies and also try to criticize Republicans, but it just isn’t worth my time right now. The fact is this country is officially “center left” and it embraces socialism at every turn. Rush Limbaugh and especially [...]

The Return of Rightwing Paranoia
Anthony Gregory points out that conservatives now oppose the state despite Obama enacting Bush-like policies. Most importantly, conservatives must learn to oppose aggressive foreign policy during this era that they are out of power, less they make the same mistakes as last time.
The conservatives [...]
