If Bob Barr gets the Libertarian Party nomination there will be more mainstream conservative interest in the LP race this year–Barr is more of a Republican than a Libertarian on most issues. The Philadelphia Inquirer looks into Barr being a spoiler:
Republicans may have good cause to worry.
A run by Barr could be to John McCain [...]

This will more than likely be my last posting about Reverend Jeremiah Wright, not because there is nothing more to say but because the interest will not be there. I continue to write about it today because the readers of this blog are still interested in reading about him and commenting on him. But soon, [...]

This time of year is usually “down-time” for politics. Things get boring as people prepare for the ‘good news’ that starts during May and June. Right now is a really bad time, and I’ve gotten tired of it. The Hillary-Barack race has gone on far too long, leading to hatred on both sides. Republicans are [...]

John Nichols at The Nation tried to show the differences between Hagee/McCain and Wright/Obama. His comparison makes a lot of sense…if you’re an Obama supporter. If you like Hagee, you’ll obviously object to it.
Indeed, it is far more reasonable to demand that McCain talk about where he agrees and disagrees with Rev. Hagee on questions [...]

I think Walden and Mike are both wrong. Two months ago I would have thought that the only way to beat McCain was by giving the nomination to Obama, but I think now that since Hillary Clinton has managed to stick around and rip Obama to shreds gives McCain a sense of “honesty”. Now, you [...]

It is time for Barack Obama to focus on unmasking the “Straight Talking” John McCain and stop running against Hillary Clinton. It is over for her candidacy. If she wishes to continue to delude herself into thinking that pledged delegates will switch to her, then that is her problem. Beating up on other Democrats is [...]

Hillary Clinton is defeated in one more category outside of the vote count in Pennsylvania: money.
“She ain’t got any.”
In fact, she is in debt up to her eyeballs. And that will be part of the calculus when the Clinton campaign decides whether to proceed with the campaign. And according to today’s Wall Street Journal, lack [...]

Shouldn’t John McCain have already hinted at who he wanted for a vice presidential candidate, or am I expecting things too soon? The only reason I can expect he is delaying his pick is because he wants to see who wins the Democrat primary, then pick a VP who could best-help him against his competitor [...]

During an interview on Monday night, Hillary Clinton clarified her position on war with Iran: if Iran were to attack Israel, especially with any sort of nuclear weapon, she would retaliate with the U.S.’s own nuclear arsenal. Coming on the eve of the Pennsylvania primary, it seems like Clinton is trying to send a strong [...]

Governor Daniels of Indiana is surely right on one thing: Republicans need to get over the Reagan era. The Reagan era was a time of deficits, military operations in other countries, and deficits. Our national debt began to skyrocket because of the idiotic belief that you could cut taxes yet continue to spend at the [...]

Things are boring in the political world right now. The election has been droning on for so long that I really find little interest in the Hillary vs. Barack ordeal. Here’s to hoping that will all change on Tuesday. I’m not really sure who I’d rather win. Obama may be the “lesser of the two [...]
